Local Attractions and Activities

Mackinac Bridge - click to enlargeThough Blisswood itself offers privacy and serenity for those who want to unwind in peace, it is nice to know that there is plenty of fun to be had should it tickle your fancy. Great beaches, ski resorts, hunting, fishing, restaurants and a whole lot more are waiting for you. Here are just a few of the highlights:

Wilderness State Park is about 15 minutes away offering beautiful beaches, huge sand dunes and gorgeous scenery.

If you feel the slopes beckoning, it's because Blisswood lies only 15 miles from the finest downhill skiing in the Midwest: Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands in Harbor Springs. Hundreds of miles of cross country ski trails and snowmobile trails are close by, as well.

For those nights when you want to get out to eat, one of the Midwest's most recognized restaurants, Legs Inn, is just five minutes away in Cross Village. Plenty of additional fine and casual dining is within a few short minutes, as well as excellent catering.

Harbor Springs Marina - click to enlarge In the beautiful and quaint town of Harbor Springs, 12 miles away and a destination in and of itself, you can find fine shopping (and more dining) as well as one of the finest harbors on Lake Michigan. Charter boat fishing is available in both Harbor Springs and Petoskey.

Tourist attractions abound in Mackinaw City and Mackinaw Island only 30 miles north of Blisswood.
