The Moose Cabin

Built in 1941 as a vacation home for Chauncey and May Bliss’ daughter Audrey and her family.  This cabin was originally called “The Pudding Stone” after the signature stone that was placed, and still remains, in the foundation near the front door.  Pudding Stones are a rare and beautiful stone found predominantly in northern Michigan and are known for bringing forth a feeling of well-being, peace and serenity.

The Merganser Cabin

Built in the 1940s by Chauncey Bliss and his son Monnie, The Merganser was originally named “The Retreat” as this cabin was built for exactly that, as a relaxing respite for Mr. Bliss from the lively social setting at Blisswood in the mid-century.

The Perch Cabin

This charming cabin has been a guest favorite since it was built in the 1930s.  The Perch was originally named “The Honeymoon” and although the name has changed, the appeal has not!  And some of the very first Blisswood honeymooners still return to this cabin every year!
