While the surrounding area affords many opportunities for adventure, sometimes you just want to stay put and enjoy the sunshine on your face and a cool lake breeze. While away the afternoon lazing in an Adirondack chair reading the book you’ve been meaning to get to, play a game of horseshoes, or rustle up some teammates for some healthy corn hole competition. Come evening, there’s no prettier place to watch the setting sun. Afterwards, cozy up beside the bonfire awaiting a host of stars to grace the darkened sky. S’mores are always welcome—the perfect way to end a perfect day.
The Game Room
The Game Room was the original Krude Kraft workshop, where Mr. Bliss turned local timber into timeless pieces of rustic beauty. This vintage space now houses foosball and shuffleboard tables, and cozy seating for a game of cards or any number of board games and puzzles that are available to you during your stay.
Come wind, come weather it’s the perfect place to gather and play. A great collection of family-friendly DVDs are also available to take back to your cabin for a cozy evening movie night. Gather your group or meet new friends in front of the gracious stone fireplace. It’s the perfect place to hang out when you’re in need of some inside time; you won’t even mind a day or two of rain!
The Field
Round-up the group, athletes or not, for a little healthy competition of volleyball, badminton, horseshoes, or croquet. Located adjacent to the Woodshop, this sunny spot has plenty of space for playing. Pair off teams for baseball or kickball. Win or lose, it’s the camaraderie that counts. The spinner swing and tether-ball keeps little guests busy and laughing together all afternoon. Ladder toss, bocce, corn hole, hook and ring toss are great for pulling the group together. The perfect hang-out for fun and games!
The Bonfire
Circle the Adirondack chairs ‘round the fire to swap stories, reminisce and reconnect with family, old friends or make some new ones. Sing some songs, toast s’mores, or enjoy a glass of wine while you feel the stress slip away like the setting sun. Mingle with the other guests—there’s something about the mesmerizing flames that quickly turn strangers into friends.
